Fiore Signs Letter of Intent with Loyola
Oak Forest High school Athletic Director Sue Bonner announced today Senior Natalie Fiore has signed a letter of intent to play volleyball at Loyola University in Chicago.
Fiore expects to study education at Loyola. Her major area of concentration will be either in math or in Spanish.
Fiore is a well-respected player, according to Oak Forest High School Coach Amanda Brown. She is a three year Varsity player and was Captain for two of those years. I expect her to be a leader on [the] court&as a setter, everything passes through her.
In her volleyball career at Oak Forest, Fiore recorded 368 assists, 172 kills, 132 blocks and 43 service aces, helping Oak Forest to a 32-8 record and a sectional title. Fiore was named to the First Team All-State squad by the Champaign News-Gazette and the First Team all-Area pick by the Chicago Tribune, the Chicago Sun-Times, and the SouthTown Star. Fiore was twice named the South Suburban Blue Player of the Year and was one of the Chicago Tribunes 20 players to watch in 2009.
Fiore will play for Loyola coach Marcie Wolbeck.
