Oak Forest High School Volleyball Team Celebrates

The Oak Forest High School Volleyball team is hosting their 2nd Annual Volleying for the Cure night at the home game on October 15th during both the freshman/sophomore game at 4:45 pm and the varsity game at 6:00 pm. Oak Forest High School and their competitors, T.F. North, are teaming up to fight against Breast Cancer.
This event, Volley for the Cure, was created as a way to honor and celebrate the heroic fight against breast cancer. The match on that evening will be dedicated to all the men and women who have been touched by breast cancer with the hopes that this disease will one day be cured.
Students will be selling pink lollipops at school during the week and students are encouraged to wear pink and pack the place that evening in support of this event. Everyone at this match will be touched by pink in some way: coaches, players, and officials will be wearing pink, the ball and referee whistles will be pink, the gym will be decorated in pink balloons, each lady in attendance will receive a pink carnation, and the concession stand will be selling pink Gatorade and pink cookies. Fans can purchase $1 pink volleyballs in the memory of patients and survivors of breast cancer, and can also purchase a split the pot ticket and a pink raffle ticket, proceeds of which will benefit the Susan G. Koman Foundation on the behalf of Oak Forest Volleyball.
Everyone is invited to attend this event to help raise money for breast cancer research on October 15th.
