OAK LAWNS TOUCHIE EARNS TRACK SCHOLARSHIP

Oak Lawn Community High School senior Spencer Touchie has had a great season throwing the shot put with boys track. And recently, all of his hard work paid off for the next level. Touchie signed a letter of intent to attend Ashford University in Clinton, Iowa. And making it all that much sweeter, he earned a track scholarship from head coach Tyson Graham in doing so.
I am extremely excited to go on and continue my track career at Ashford University, Touchie said. I want to take this opportunity to thank my teammates and coaches. I wouldnt have been able to get this far without their support.
Touchies shot put coach Derek Sefcik had only praise for how Touchie has matured during the past two seasons. Hes come a long way to get where he is today.
I am extremely proud of how Spencer has grown over the past two years, not only as an athlete but as a teammate and a leader, he said. This opportunity is a testament to his hard work.
